David Wilson Homes’ newest development Doveridge Park in Doveridge is offering homebuyers in the area interior design inspiration for their own homes.

Designed to radiate a sophisticated country feel, the recently opened Winstone style show home gives visitors the perfect opportunity to view the quality of the properties available first hand.

The colour palette consists of accents of navy, soft blue and tones of purple which are used throughout the home to ensure the rooms flow from one to the next.

Ella Kleinig, Interior Designer at Artspace Interior Design, said: “To achieve a sophisticated look in the Winstone show home we used a combination of different materials to really bring the rooms to life.

“In the more formal areas such as the living room, dining room and bedroom one it was good to use rich textured fabrics such as velvets, sateen and fur to give it that upmarket elegant country feel. In the less formal rooms such as the kitchen and family areas we used a lot of patterned cottons and linens, so that it is more relaxed.

“The colour palette works really well in this kind of scheme as these different shades really give it that country feel. The rich tones give it the depth and fullness while the lighter colours balance it out so that it is still welcoming, warm and bright.”

Family living is vibrantly displayed throughout the Winstone, with photos of children and the household in most of the rooms.

Stand out features in the show home include the upholstered armchair in the kitchen which has been designed in a deep purple with pheasant illustrations on it and matches the blinds in the room.

The teenager’s bedroom is also designed for budding explorers, with an outdoors theme that reflects the rural location. The effective wall mural in this room gives the space a three dimension feel as the trees that are hand painted on the wall creep round to other walls of the room.

Bev Hall, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “Our brand new show home at Doveridge Park provides an excellent visual tool for our customers and helps to illustrate to buyers how that blank canvas can be shaped into their perfect home.

“With a distinctive theme, buyers can pick up inspiration and tips to help them get the most out of their new home.”

A relaxed and convenient lifestyle is available at Doveridge Park with the perfect opportunity for rural recreation being right on the doorstep.

Whilst being part of a flourishing community and benefiting from a wide range of countryside perks, residents will be well-connected to the major towns and cities both within and beyond the East Midlands.
