A young couple have switched the city life in London for a home fit for a family at the Barratt Homes Weaver View development in Winsford.

Justine Edwards (29) and Chloe Richards (25) were tired of renting in London and wanted to get on the property ladder to start a family and a new life together. They used the Help to Buy scheme to escape the capital and make their first move.

Chloe, an operations planner, and Justine, a photographer, were living with Chloe’s parents before they decided to make the big move to Winsford in Cheshire, nearly 200 miles away from London.

The team at Weaver View understood that the couple weren’t always able to visit the site, so did their best to accommodate. Justine and Chloe said, “The team were fantastic! Living so far away meant we couldn’t always come to see the site and our new home, but we were sent regular photos of the development’s progress.”

The couple were looking for a home where they could start a family which would also suit their puppy, Bear. The couple continued, “We wanted a home that was near to open green spaces, and we love the fact that Weaver View is right next to River Weaver and the canals.

Justine Edwards and her partner Chloe Richards have moved from London to live at Barratt Homes North West Weaver View site in Winsford, Cheshire. They have used the government help to buy scheme and have a new puppy Bear.

“We can have great days out in Delemere Forest, Tatton Park and Bestow Castle. There are great transport links to Crewe, Liverpool and nearby cities in case we ever want to venture further afield.”

It wasn’t just the area that attracted the couple to their new property, but also the idea of living in a Barratt home. The couple said, “We knew that our home would be great quality while still being within our price range. We’re happy that we’ve broken out of renting in London; cooking our own food as much as possible helped us save towards our goal.

“The Help to Buy scheme made the dream of owning our own home a reality a lot sooner than we thought was possible. Our favourite thing about coming home is knowing that we own this beautiful house!”

The Help to Buy scheme allows buyers to purchase a home with just a 5% deposit and a 75% mortgage. The remaining 20% is funded by an equity loan, interest-free for the first five years and repayable on the sale on the home.

Justine and Chloe have bought a Moresby style, three bedroom end of terrace house. Features of their home include a spacious living room on the ground floor, a separate open plan kitchen/dining area, two large double bedrooms on the first floor, a single bedroom and also a cloakroom by the front door. The Moresby style home is perfect for a couple looking to start a family or a home with young children in.

Lynton Dudgeon, Sales Director at Barratt Homes North West, said, “We’re really pleased that Justine and Chloe love their new home after making such a big move to start a family of their own. Our properties suit a whole plethora of buyers with different kinds of needs; if you’re interested in owning a Barratt Home we recommend getting in touch with us and seeing what we have to offer!”

There are three bedroom properties for sale at the Weaver View development, with prices ranging from £183,995 to £219,995.
