Renters in Southampton will have to move quickly if they want to be the first to move into a brand-new apartment in the city’s popular Bow Square development.

Almost all of the apartments have now been let, with just a handful remaining.

Bow Square is a new development of 279 apartments built exclusively for renters on the site of the old Fruit and Vegetable Market off Queensway and Bernard Street. The final phase of homes were released last year and now there are just a few new apartments available to rent.

Adam Dale, community manager at Bow Square, said: “The response to Bow Square has been phenomenal. Build to Rent is a brand-new concept in Southampton and it’s been embraced by the city’s renters, who are eager to enjoy the benefits it brings.”

Bow Square is Southampton’s first Build to Rent development, meaning the apartments are built with residents and a sense of community in mind and are only available to rent. The entire development is managed by one on-site team, making it a far more welcoming atmosphere and enabling everyday items to be addressed quickly and efficiently.

As well as modern apartments, residents benefit from a range of private facilities including a 24/7 gym, residents’ lounge, flexible office space and a meeting room for those who work from home. They can even hire BBQs in the development’s garden space and take part in a range of free fitness classes. Bow Square also runs a discount scheme with several city centre businesses, giving renters access to reduced prices on everything from hair cuts to pizza and beer, and runs regularly community events for residents like BBQs and dog walking clubs.

Resident Abs Abdulrahman said: “What I really liked when I came to visit was the extra facilities like the gym. It means I can pop in and do a quick workout without having to leave the building.”

A range of one and two-bedroom apartments are still available to rent, with prices starting from £870 per month.
